FEAR Online, Multiplayer Horror Game Accepting Closed Beta Candidates

SEOUL, Korea. July 25 - Korean studio Inplay Interactive is releasing a free-to-play multiplayer shooter based on Monolith's 2005 horror title, F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon). The game, adequately titled FEAR Online, will continue the story of Alma Wade, the little girl that's really good at killing people with psychic abilities. Multiplayer modes include FEAR 3's Soul King mode, which has players control spirits that possess AI enemies to kill other AI enemies that are possessed by players.

Another mode is a co-op mode that will coincide with events of FEAR 2: Project Origin. The mode will allow up to four players to band together and fight against the freakishness that is FEAR.
The game will be going into closed beta soon and publisher Aeria games is currently accepting applicants to those that are interested.
