LAS VEGAS, Nv. July 16 - Annually held fighting game tournament, Evo, managed to draw record viewership on Twitch this past weekend yielding 1.7m viewers across three channels, reported Polygon.
Concurrent viewership of the event peaked at 144,848 for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, announced Twitch's VP of marketing Matthew DiPietro. This figure beats out Evo's other streams for Super Smash Bros. Melee at 134,000 viewers, and Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, which drew 125,000.
Evo 2013's numbers exceed previous record holder, Evo 2012, by nearly 50 percent.
Evo 2013 was held from July 12-14 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
