SAN JOSE, Calif. July 17 - League of Legends teams, Evil Geniuses (EG) and Team Curse have partnered up with eBay to run a charity tournament, the eBay Charity Invitational, in which the proceeds will go to the charity of the winner's choosing.
Members of each team will compete in one-vs-one matches. The tournament will take place on Wednesday, July 24 at 8 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on Twitch by One Nation of Gamers.
PC gaming equipment as well as collectibles like signed jerseys will be auctioned off during the event. eBay has also pledged to donate $5,000 if users utilize the online auctioning service's new "My Gadgets" feature, which allows users to monitor how much their electronics are worth so that they can sell them at competitive prices. Additionally, eBay will be adding $0.50 to the prize pool for each item spectators list via "My Gadgets".
