BioShock Infinite's First DLC "Clash in the Clouds" Launches Today, Second and Third Announced

QUINCY, Mass. July 30 - "Clash in the Clouds", the first of three Bioshock Infinite DLCs, was announced and launched today. The $5 content is combat oriented and features 4 new maps and enemies that increase in difficulty. The DLC contains 60 challenges, new achievements, as well as leaderboard support. Players will be able to unlock new concept art, voxophones, kinetoscopes, and more.
The DLC is catered to those interested in BioShock Infinite's gameplay and may be a disappointment to those looking for narrative content.

"Clash in the Clouds was definitely made intentionally…we knew that it wasn't going to be for 100 percent of people out there," lead level designer Forrest Dowling told GameSpot. "It was going to be for people who were really into the gameplay experience and that's what they want more of."

"This is a meta experience. It is not part of the BioShock story. It is just for fun," he continued.

The last two DLCs, releasing in 2014, will be exactly what those thirsty for some BioShock narrative will be looking for. Most interestingly, they both will take place in Rapture. Titled Burial at Sea - Episode One and Episode Two, the content will tie the story of Elizabeth and Booker together. Gameplay will feel similar to the "original BioShock combat experience", but will also have elements of Infinite's. Most excitingly, Episode Two will have players inhabit Elizabeth "as she seeks to bring closuer to her story".

Both Episode One and Two will cost $15 each. Those that purchased the $20 BioShock DLC Season Pass will recieve all three DLCs for no extra charge.
