NEW YORK, September 24 - Houston Rockets GM and apparent StarCraft 2 fan, Daryl Morey, has joined Major League Gaming's board of directors.
Morey's involvement with MLG doesn't come as too much of a surprise as Morey has mentioned during last year's annual MIT Sloan Sports Analytic Conference that "eSports will someday be the biggest sport in the world".
During June this year's MLG Anaheim, Morey helped bring Houston Rockets Dwight Howard to MLG to play some Black Ops 2.
"We are incredibly excited to have Daryl join our team as we continue to build the first global, truly digital sport," said Sundance DiGiovanni, co-founder and CEO of MLG. "His experience in the NBA, emphasis on data and technology, and passion for video games, makes him the perfect addition and we look forward to benefiting from his knowledge and success."
